1. What is included in the Festival Pack?
The Festival Pack contains everything you need to attend the event:
- tasting glass,
- a festival booklet with tasting coupons,
- festival payment card,
- festival wristband,
- bag,
- A little cup for water.
The Festival Package can be collected from the ticket booth from Wednesday, 26 August.
All tasting alcoholic beverages are served exclusively in festival glasses. Throughout the event, you will find dedicated water stations where you can rinse your glass between tastings. The water is potable, so you are also welcome to use it freely.
The festival wristband is your identification and grants you access to the event grounds for its entire duration. It is waterproof, so you don't need to remove it.
2. What are tasting vouchers?
Tasting coupons can be found in the festival booklet, which is part of the Festival Package. Each coupon entitles you to receive a selected sample of whisky or other alcohol from an exhibitor participating in the festival.
Simply tear off the voucher and present it to the exhibitor. This is an excellent opportunity not only to try unique spirits but also to learn about the brand's history, production process, and discover the aromas and flavours of the presented alcoholic beverages.
3. Will tasting coupons be enough for the whole Sopot Whisky Festival?
It depends on how many tastings you plan to do. Each participant receives a set of tasting vouchers, which they can use to sample a range of alcoholic drinks available at the exhibitors’ stands. If you’d like to sample more, you can buy additional samples directly from the exhibitors. You can pay for these samples using the payment card included in your Festival Pack.
4. Can I buy more tasting vouchers?
No. Tasting coupons are only available in the festival booklet which is included in the Festival Pack. After you've used them, you can still buy additional samples directly from the exhibitors.
5. How does the payment card work at the Sopot Whisky Festival?
At the festival grounds, you can pay for purchases from exhibitors and in the food zone using the payment card you receive in the Festival Package. You can top up the card as you wish at the indicated points and use it throughout the event.
Please note that the festival card is not accepted in the festival shop – there, you can pay by bank card, mobile phone, BLIK or cash.
6. Are there any alcoholic drinks other than whisky at the Sopot Whisky Festival?
Yes. Although whisky is the main attraction of the event, you will also find other premium spirits at the festival, including rum, gin, tequila, mezcal, cognac, and liqueurs. Many exhibitors also present new products and limited editions of their brands.
7. Can I buy limited edition bottles of whisky?
Yes. The Sopot Whisky Festival is one of the best places in Poland to buy limited edition whiskies, premiere editions, and bottles that are hard to find in regular sales. It's worth visiting the festival shop.
8. Can bottles be purchased to take home at the Sopot Whisky Festival?
Yes. At the festival shop, you can buy products at special prices valid only during the festival. You can leave the purchased bottles at the festival cloakroom and pick them up before leaving the event.
9. Can I come with someone who doesn't drink alcohol?
Of course. The Sopot Whisky Festival is more than just tastings. Concerts, a gastronomic zone, meetings with brand ambassadors, relaxation zones and a rich offer from exhibitors await participants. We also encourage you to visit the no & low zones.
10. How to dress for the Sopot Whisky Festival?
It's best to opt for comfortable clothing. The festival takes place over a large area, so comfortable shoes and all-day comfort are essential.
