Across 12,000 m² of the Sopot Hippodrome, Polish representatives of the world's largest alcohol brands presented their rich portfolios of whisky – Scotch, Irish, American, and from other corners of the globe.
Our festival is dedicated to the ‘water of life’ – whisky – and other categories of alcohol, but it is whisky that consistently remains the queen.
The originator and organiser of the festival is Dom Whisky – a nationwide chain of whisky bars and cocktail lounges, whose history began in 2009 in Jastrzębia Góra. Currently, you can visit Dom Whisky in Jastrzębia Góra (ul. Droga Rybacka 60), Warsaw (ul. Nowy Świat 32), Wrocław (ul. Rzeźnicza 28–31), and Sopot (ul. Grunwaldzka 1–3). The chain is also developing the Dom Whisky Online e-commerce platform – one of the largest luxury alcohol stores in Europe, offering over 9,500 bottles, including over 6,000 whiskies. Dom Whisky Online physical stores operate in Reda (ul. Wejherowska 67), Wrocław (ul. Rzeźnicza 28–31), Warsaw (ul. Krucza 16/22, ul. Pańska 97), and Gdańsk (ul. Kołobrzeska 22).
The result of our efforts was the first Whisky Festival in Poland, which took place on 22 and 23 August 2014 and immediately attracted a wide range of guests from all over the country. Subsequent editions enjoyed growing interest, and the number of participants increased year by year. After just a few iterations, the festival became an event where tickets sell out in advance – often at least a week before it begins. It was this growing interest that led to the festival moving to a new, larger location in 2025.
